John Daly Signs Multi-Year Partnership With Topgolf
Topgolf signs John Daly for a multi-year deal featuring Topgolf Nights, branded cocktails, merchandise, and future event announcements.

A Partnership That Writes Itself
Topgolf has signed John Daly, and the fit is almost too on the nose to need explaining. The two-time Major winner, long regarded as golf's most unapologetic free spirit, is entering a multi-year partnership that puts him front and center at Topgolf venues across the United States, with live appearances, branded content, and guest experiences built around his particular brand of chaos.
The groundwork was already laid at Topgolf's Augusta venue in 2026, timed to the first Major of the season, and the relationship now expands into something far more permanent.
Two Rule-Breakers, One Brand
The logic behind the pairing is not subtle, nor does either side pretend otherwise. Daly has spent decades being the loudest, least convention-bound figure in professional golf, and Topgolf has spent its existence trying to strip away the sport's stuffier instincts in favor of something closer to a night out.
Put the two together and you get a partnership built on shared contrarianism dressed up as fun. Daly put it plainly: "I love the vibe at Topgolf. It's a place where you can smash a golf ball, listen to music, have a drink and enjoy yourself with friends and family. That's my kind of golf."
The Rollout: Nights, Drinks, and Gear
The rollout itself is layered rather than singular, which tells you something about the ambition behind it. The partnership's first visible move is the return of Topgolf Nights, beginning Thursday, October 22, and continuing on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at participating U.S. venues. Late-night play arrives at special rates, with giveaways and curated DJ playlists meant to channel Daly's high-energy ethos directly onto the bay floor.
Thursday pricing runs from 9:00 p.m. to close starting October 22, 2026, with Friday and Saturday late-night windows varying by location (Topgolf Las Vegas excluded from Thursday pricing altogether). Rates are structured per bay, per hour, and walk-in rates can run higher than reservations. A $6 Account Activation Fee applies to new players, tax and gratuity are not included, and the promotion does not extend to Topgolf Lounge, Swing Suite, or Toptracer Range locations, nor can it be stacked with other offers.
Beyond the Nights program, the partnership introduces Signature John Daly Beverages, two ready-to-drink, non-carbonated cocktails landing at fifty-five Topgolf venues, alongside Daly Vibe at Topgolf merchandise sold on-site.
"Fun Is What Topgolf Is All About"
David McKillips, CEO at Topgolf, framed the deal as something closer to inevitability than opportunity. "John Daly is a one-of-a-kind icon who completely disrupted this sport by refusing to be anyone but himself. At Topgolf, we pride ourselves on breaking down barriers so anyone can play, which is exactly what makes this partnership so natural and exciting," McKillips said, adding that "John brings the fun, and fun is what Topgolf is all about."
The messaging from both camps lands in the same place: Daly's refusal to conform, long treated by traditional golf as a liability to be managed, is here being sold as the entire point.
Built Into the Customer Journey
What's notable is how far this extends past a simple licensing arrangement. Late-night pricing, branded cocktails, and retail merchandise together suggest Topgolf isn't just renting Daly's name for a few appearances. It's building him into the customer journey itself, from the bay to the bar to the gift shop on the way out.
The multi-year structure, combined with Daly's confirmed return to the Augusta venue during the first Major of the year in both 2027 and 2028, reads less like a promotional flourish and more like the start of an annual tradition, one timed deliberately to golf's highest-attention week each spring.
A First Chapter, Not the Full Story
Even so, the full shape of the partnership hasn't been revealed yet. A major new event announcement tied to the collaboration is expected early next year, with no details yet disclosed on its scope, format, or location. That gap leaves the current offerings, the Nights program, the beverages, the merchandise, as a first chapter rather than the complete picture.
The Value Is on the Floor Tonight
For now, the tangible value sits squarely with the guest: new late-night pricing windows, drinks built around Daly's persona, and merchandise carrying his name on the shelf. For Topgolf, the value is reputational as much as commercial, another signal that the barriers it claims to be tearing down extend to who gets to represent the game.
